Making tools and using them is a characteristics of humans. Humans shape tools and tools shape them in turn. Someone has rightly noted that humans are tool making species.
Tools are specific in thier use and specificity is context dependent. However there are innumerable tools making human life easier. In fact tools simplify our work, amplify our efforts and determine our destiny.
